How Was It Produced?

The bags in this collection are made from upcycled fabrics produced on Sri Lankan handlooms. The hand-woven fabrics are woven entirely by women with an average age of 65. No electricity or water is used in this process; a traditional weaving method is used to keep a craft that is on the verge of extinction alive. These fabrics, which do not contain synthetic materials, are collected and cut one by one and processed in accordance with slow fashion practices. These bags support sustainability and traditional handcrafting in accordance with ethical fashion values.

Upcycling is the process of redesigning and transforming waste or unused materials into new products without the need for chemical processes. This method protects the environment and offers creative and sustainable solutions by using existing resources more efficiently.
